The Duckworth family didn’t want an ordinary kitchen. In search of their perfect ‘wow’ factor space that was stunning, yet at the same time practical, the Duckworth family had already consulted other kitchen design companies in the area. They were drawn to Exact due to our wide portfolio of bespoke kitchen styles and ranges from the highest quality manufacturers.

They were ultimately won over by the uniqueness of our design that captured their vision perfectly. Watch our project video to get a feel:

To create a modern, bright look for this extension, we used a high gloss handleless design, accented with hints of rustic oak from Beckermann throughout, to add elements of warmth to the kitchen. This complemented the solid wood breakfast bar that curves out in a teardrop shape from the island, complete with luxury wood panelling from Acupanel at the rear, creating a stunning and eye-catching feature. The complexity of this design in terms of the curvatures proved a challenge, as we had to ensure every unit met in the correct place to create a seamless curve, however, our expertise and design experience allowed us to achieve a faultless design. 

Cooking was important to the Duckworths, so we fitted two top of the range ovens and inductionAir system hob from Siemens, which proved a family favourite. With sophisticated technology, the inductionAir system combines the cooktop and ventilation into one space, removing the need for a wall or ceiling extractor hood. This enabled the cooking area to blend seamlessly into the living area, allowing for increased social interaction with the rest of the family while cooking, which is what the Duckworths wanted to achieve.

For further modernisation, we also added the latest appliances including a Quooker Cube 5-in-1 tap for chilled and sparkling water and colour changing LED smart lighting.
