How to Maximise Storage when Redesigning your Kitchen or Bathroom

If you’re redesigning your kitchen or bathroom and want to maximise on storage, we have some ideas to help make the most of your new space.

Renovations don’t require large extensions to really make a difference, as a well-designed kitchen or bathroom will make the most of any space. But how can you make sure that your new space has adequate storage?

Hidden Storage

Not all storage spaces have to be decorative, or even remotely visible. At exact, we’ve installed numerous hidden storage units in both kitchen islands and bathroom walls, allowing customers to maximise their storage space whilst maintaining a clean and seamless aesthetic.

For example, we included an eye-level hidden storage cupboard when designing this
ensuite for the Aitkin Family, who requested a practical solution without compromising on a luxurious and calming bathroom space.

Pantry, Larder & Corner Units

Whilst hidden storage may be perfect for some, others prefer to have specific units dedicated to storage, such as larders or pantries and corner cupboards.

Whilst these are commonly associated with Shaker kitchens, they’re available in a range of styles and sizes to suit any new kitchen space. We also have a variety of Ideal Standard corner cabinets available for added bathroom storage.

Integrated Appliances

Another smart way of maximising your kitchen space would be to include integrated appliances, allowing you to still have a practical and functional kitchen without compromising on storage.

An example of this could be a
Siemens Integrated Hood to be hidden amongst wall-hung units, or a Quooker boiling tap which will eliminate the need for a kettle and free up space.

Meanwhile, bathroom storage can be optimised by using high-quality units which don’t impose too much on the space. An example of this is the Slimline range from
Phoenix, which offers a stunning and contemporary finish to bathroom storage space.
