New Kitchen Colour Trend: Sandy Neutrals

Out with the cold...

Cool grey tones have been the colour of choice for some time now when it comes to interior design, especially in the kitchen space. While it remains popular, we’re seeing more and more clients switch from those cooler tones to warmer, neutral colour choices like soft greys and sandy hues.

A kitchen designed with warm neutrals adds a cosy and inviting aura to your kitchen space while leaving an open and airy environment that still feels bright and spacious.

How do I incorporate this trend into my own kitchen?

There are a number of ways to incorporate this new colour trend into your space. You can opt for a soft grey or light beige for your cabinets, choose a worktop that incorporates a warm toned marbling onto a clean white base, and opt for gold or bronze finishes instead of chromes and steels. There are plenty of ideas, samples and colour swatches available to view in our showroom, so why not pop in and get some inspiration?

The Shivirani Kitchen project was fitted with stunning natural granite worktops, complimenting perfectly with the greige units and softening up that bright white floor while keeping the space feeling bright and spacious. The finished look was a striking balance of traditional and contemporary, bringing just a hint of warmth to their open-plan kitchen which would be the heart of their new family home.

Is this the end for grey kitchens?

Grey has been the go-to colour for some time, and while it remains popular, it’s really a tonal shift that we’re seeing. Cooler, stoney greys are being overlooked for softer, sandy tones. These colours allow you to create a kitchen space that still feels stylish and modern, while bringing in that calming, earthy element. A balance that makes this colour trend incredibly versatile; a perfect choice for families, couples of all ages, and those who love to entertain.

Our showroom in Barkham, Wokingham has a wide array of examples displaying the luxurious yet warm feel of a neutral-toned kitchen space.
