VERZU PROJECT

Designed to their exact specification.

The Verzu family wanted a contemporary, open plan kitchen for their extension that would be timeless and suitable for the whole family. It was important that this kitchen would be a place for socialising for the whole family, as well as having lots of storage space.

The extension gave us a big area to work with, so one of the initial design decisions was where to place the kitchen. We designed various options for the Verzus, with possible kitchen/living area layouts. They eventually decided on having the kitchen to the right of the room, and the living area on the opposite side, which they felt suited the space best. 

The Verzus chose pearl grey cabinetry, offset by the anthracite wood laminate across the far side of the room, providing a statement two-tone contrast. They selected Dekton worktops and splashback in a stylish marble effect, made using the highest quality quartz. We selected furnishings that matched the style of the kitchen, with seating around the island for six, and pendant lights as a feature piece to draw the eye to the centre of the room.

The Verzus wanted cooking to be a social activity, so we placed the Siemens induction hob directly on the island. Due to the integrated ventilation system, the need for an overhead extractor fan was eradicated, allowing an uninterrupted view of the kitchen whilst cooking, as well as minimising noise. 

To complete the kitchen, we installed the latest appliances from Siemens, including two ovens, a steam oven, and a coffee machine, plus a Quooker boiling tap.
