ROBERTS PROJECT

The Roberts family wanted a fresh, modern kitchen for their extension complete with clean lines and no-nonsense functionality. They came into the Exact showroom and felt inspired by our range of contemporary, handleless kitchens - particularly our navy kitchen, which is what inspired their new space!

With the architect’s plans already in place and the extension underway, we liaised directly with the architect to establish the layout, using this to inform our design. The Roberts wanted to optimise and enhance the natural light in the room, so it was important to take this into consideration during the design stage.

DETAILS EXPLAINED

The cabinetry is arguably the kitchen’s defining feature: a two-tone concept, simultaneously stylish whilst accentuating natural daylight. One of our most sought-after kitchen shades, the navy cabinets are striking set against a backdrop of white walls. The dark furniture is further complemented by the white cabinets and quartz worktops which brighten the room further and reflect the natural light from the window. Across the edges, pink/purple LED lights create an eye-catching and immersive cooking area. We finished the kitchen with silver-blue pendant lights above the island to create a statement piece in the centre of the room.

For food preparation, we included a Siemens ceramic hob accompanied by an extractor fan hidden under the cabinets. Two state-of-the-art Siemens ovens further enhanced the kitchen, plus a discreet and essential wine cooler! The Roberts also chose the popular Quooker boiling tap in modern stainless steel, the ideal finishing touch to any modern kitchen.

The result was a completely contemporary kitchen, with on-trend colours, styles and accessories. We also completed the adjacent utility room, creating sleek consistency between the two rooms.
